ReptiCart Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 17, 2026
ReptiCart LLC operates the ReptiCart website and Android app. This policy explains the information we handle when you browse, create an account, contact a seller, post listings, use breeder tools, or purchase a seller membership.
Information we handle
- Account and contact details: name, email address, phone number, address, login credentials, and any business or store details you provide.
- Marketplace content: seller profiles, listings, animal details, photos, auction and livestream activity, inquiries, messages, and support requests.
- Breeder-tool records: animal, breeding, health, and related records you enter into ReptiNetics.
- Membership and transaction records: plan, status, dates, amounts, order and payment-provider references. Website membership checkout is handled by Stripe. Card details entered on Stripe's checkout are handled by Stripe.
- Technical information: IP address, device and browser details, session cookies, pages used, and security or error records needed to operate and protect the service.
Android membership purchases: If you purchase a membership through Google Play Billing, Google processes the payment. ReptiCart sends Google an obfuscated account identifier and checkout identifier to associate the purchase with your ReptiCart account. We receive and securely retain purchase tokens, product identifiers, subscription status, and renewal or expiry information to verify purchases, provide membership benefits, restore access, and prevent duplicate or fraudulent activation. ReptiCart does not receive the card number you enter into Google Play. Google's own privacy policy applies to information Google handles through its payment service.
How we use information
We use this information to run accounts and seller stores; display listings; deliver inquiries, messages, auctions, livestreams, and breeder tools; administer memberships and payments; respond to support requests; prevent misuse; and meet legal obligations. We send promotional email to people who have subscribed or otherwise permitted it, with an unsubscribe option.
What others can see and who processes data
Information you place in a public seller profile, listing, auction, or livestream may be visible to visitors. An inquiry or message is shared with its intended participants and may be reviewed by authorized ReptiCart staff for support, safety, or disputes.
Hosting, email, and payment providers process information for us to operate the service. Stripe handles website seller-membership payments. ReptiCart also has Google and Meta integrations that may process site usage or marketing information when their features are enabled. Their use can depend on your choices and the features you use. We do not publish your payment-card details in listings or profiles.
Cookies and security
We use cookies and similar browser storage to keep you signed in, remember your session, and operate site features. Some integrations may use additional cookies or identifiers for measurement or marketing when enabled. ReptiCart uses HTTPS to protect information in transit. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
Retention, access, and deletion
After confirming account ownership, we remove your account and associated personal data from active ReptiCart systems. This includes your account and seller profiles, listings, uploaded account content, and breeder-tool records associated with your account. We confirm completion or explain any specific information that must be retained.
Limited transaction, tax, security, fraud-prevention, or dispute records may be retained where necessary for a legal obligation, a specific security purpose, or an unresolved claim. Such records are restricted to those purposes. We explain the applicable reason and retention period or criteria when responding to your request.
Backups and restored data
Our hosting provider reports nightly backups of website files and databases with snapshots retained for up to 30 days. After deletion from active systems, personal data may remain in those older snapshots until they expire. A new backup does not erase previous snapshots, and individual records cannot be removed from those archives. This timeframe describes the hosting backups; it does not replace any specific retention required for the limited records described above.
Backups are used for recovery. If an older backup is restored, account-deletion requests must be reapplied before the restored data is returned to normal use. A limited record of deletion requests is retained to support this process and confirm that requests were handled.
Request account deletion: Visit our account-deletion page. You can use it without the Android app. You can also email customerservice@repticart.com. For access or correction requests, contact the same address; account holders may also use the site's personal-data tools.
Children
ReptiCart is intended for adults and business users. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us so we can review and remove it as appropriate.
